Oncall is made in Accra, Ghana by Infusi Technologies. It pages the right engineer when something breaks and keeps going until someone answers.
Most on-call tools expect every engineer to carry a smartphone with data and an app that is always signed in. Plenty of teams don't work that way, so a page that only reaches an app can go unseen in the middle of the night.
Oncall starts from the phone everyone has. Pages go out by SMS through local SMS providers, alerts from your tools land in one place, and escalation carries on to the next person and then a manager when the first doesn't answer.

A page goes out as one plain SMS that any phone can show, with a link to acknowledge in one tap. Nobody needs a smartphone, an app or mobile data to be reached.

If the engineer on call doesn't answer, Oncall moves on to the next person, then to a manager, until someone takes it.

Grafana, any tool that sends a webhook, Slack and incidents raised by hand all arrive in the same list, with the same history.
